The Village Hall is now the only social meeting place left in Garsdale. It is available for all the community to use. It costs around £2,000 per year to cover the running costs of rent, insurance, electricity ….without any major repairs. We hold fundraising/social events annually (as listed below) to try to meet the costs, but usually fall short. Your support at these events is always welcome and needed. As the saying goes ‘use it or loose it’!

Garsdale Queen’s Jubilee celebrations will be held on Wednesday 6th June. The day would start at 1.00pm with the annual Garsdale Sports followed by tea. In the evening we will hold the celebration in a marquee on GVH field with hog roast, disco and bar. Tickets for the evening will be £10 and half price for any primary school aged children.
As marquees are expensive to raise some money we are going to hold a raffle, selling tickets beforehand, and we are looking for offers of prizes, cash prizes are always tempting so if anyone would like to donate please let us know. We haven’t got a committee as such just whoever turns up and wants to be involved to make the day a success.
