A New Year Message from the Board
The last year has been a difficult one for the Fibre Garden Project with the failure to make any significant progress on the construction of the network and the subsequent loss of the DEFRA grant. The AGM in November 2015 instructed the Board to consider alternative options and work has carried on over the last couple of months to explore these.
These have been reviewed at the Board Meeting held on 6 January 2016 in readiness for an extraordinary meeting of the Membership to be held later this month. The project has clearly received a major setback but there are options for a way forward which can achieve the original objective of fibre to the home for every property in the two dales.
With a positive attitude for 2016 there is the potential to achieve our goal although this is likely to be with a significantly different approach.
