Fibre GarDen have submitted their application for a grant from DEFRA for £150,000 towards the capital cost of delivering superfast fibre optic broadband to both Garsdale and Dentdale. It is likely to take two to three months before any formal offer is made but Fibre GarDen is continuing to work closely with Cumbria County Council and DEFRA on the wider Connecting Cumbria project.
Further announcements regarding other funding requirements and sources are to be made shortly.
